'SPOREN' HUGO TIELEMAN - TILBURG

Exhibition 'Sporen' - Hugo Tieleman
August 13th till September 19th 2009

Gallery Kap Pur, Korvelseweg 151, Tilburg, The Netherlands

The work of Hugo Tieleman is based on the proportion between culture and nature. The fight between different types of landscapes is reflected in HugoTieleman's oil paintings. The work is frequently situated on the border between the city and country. The cities extend more and more at the cost of surrounding nature. The human intervention in nature clearly leaves behind its traces (Sporen in Dutch).

PEPEYN LANGEDIJK - TILBURG

Animates - Pepeyn Langedijk

Clearly these aren't just pictures, there is a whole story captured within. Sometimes a complex story and sometimes just a simple, funny story. "I am inspired by the conflicts within the human soul. I play with themes like innocence, freedom and virginity and their contradictions" says Pepeyn.

The confrontation of people with themselves is the basis of the photographic art of Pepeyn Langedijk.

The exhibition runs from April 22nd until May 30th.

VERPAKT - TILBURG

The exhibition VERPAKT (packing materials) is shown from March 7th till April 18th at art gallery Kap Pur at the Korvelseweg 151 in Tilburg (The Netherlands). The focus lies on our throwing society in which there is no space for packing materials. Menno Schenk (1974, Amsterdam) examines the graphic aspect of packing, where printer signs are clearly present as references to printed paper. Within the work of Stephanie Jansen (1968, Zwolle) one loses all reference with reality. For further information: www.kappur.nl
