Just a quick message to let you know what is happening this busy ANNUALE weekend.
Tomorrow (Friday) evening there are 2 openings Blown Away opens 6-8 pm at 9 Gillespie Place and Heavy Metal Mouth 6-9pm at 4 Torphichen St.
Temporarily occupying a shop space, 'Blown Away' presents a series of new ink drawings from Edinburgh-based artist Zoe Fothergill, and photographs and sculptural installations that explore the grounds of a long abandoned stately home in the Highlands, from artist Mairi Taylor.
On Saturday at 2 the Embassy will have James McLardy and George Ziffo in conversation talking about the current show Facade Within and there practices.
On Saturday evening If it's hot it's here opens 7-9pm at 136 Bruntsfield Place (please note change of venue) cocktails provided by Martin Miller Gin.
Then to round off the weekend you are invited down for tea and cakes at the closing party of Aumma Aumma at 32 2F1 Sandport St.
Group show featuring work of local and international artists with a shared interest in the built environment. Exhibiting artists include Stefano Calligaro, Francesco Cassi, Mattia Matteucci, Shona Macnaughton, Emma Pratt, Ash Reid, Sarah J Tingle and Sara Visconti.
Also still open are Simulator-Stimulator-Stimulator-Simulator, Grey Matter, We don't have a manifesto we do have hangups, No Fixed Abode, Embassy Screen and the Reckoning.
