Awakened Change is a group art show/exhibition of forty-four artists’ work running through February 20th, with an opening reception, February 5th at Seed Gallery (239 Washington Street, Newark, NJ 07102 917-607-4440). The artists represented in the show create images and objects that consistently break down time barriers. The works on display for Awakened Change show a future distilled, in what some recognize as a shift in human consciousness.Throughout all stages of human existence, shifts of collective consciousness have manifested themselves in works of art. Expressions of these changes pinpoint the map of history. Although this exhibition is defined by the recent cultural, economic, and political downturn of the human experience as a whole, it also hints at a promising union of sociology, technology, science, math and art itself that heightens the perception of our kind.

The Visionary Arts Collective, a
collaboration of both established and
up-and-coming artists, will assist SEED
to promote and pursue artistic
inspiration.
While also maintaining a resource
center for contributing artists, SEED will
offer exhibition and studio space for
artists to utilize in the evolution of a
creative community.
