In Homologous Fields Hildebrand and Los-Jones both employ technical ingenuity to disrupt traditional forms in painting and sculpture to accentuate the error of interpretation by the viewer. The end result allows for an expanded conceptual and visual experience that suggests that the confluence of the parts reveals a greater whole that finds its sum within the substance of the viewer.
Dil Hildebrand was born in Winnipeg, Canada. He obtained his MFA at Concordia University, Montréal in 2008. In 2006 he won the RBC Canadian Painting Competition. Dil will have solo exhibitions this coming May, 2010, at Pierre-Francois Ouellette art contemporain in Montreal, and at YYZ in Toronto, October 2010. He lives and works in Montreal.
Tyler Los-Jones is a practicing artist in Calgary and credits his upbringing in the Rocky Mountains as a major influence on his work. He graduated from the Alberta College of Art + Design in 2007 with a BFA in painting. Due to spending much of his life in Alberta, he is actively trying to do spend time near as many large bodies of water as possible. He is currently planning a series of site-specific urban exhibitions, and is working on a new collection of drawings.

Sabato 10 ottobre 2009, alle ore 18 presso Palazzo Merolla in Marano di Napoli inaugura "Aspettando la biennale dell libro d'artista" esposizione apistrada della prima Biennale del Libro d'artista in Campania.
Alla manifestazione ideata dagli artisti-curatori Gennaro Ippolito e Giovanna Donnarumma, parteciperanno artisti provenienti da ogni parte del mondo.
"Nell’era dell’uomo videns vogliamo riportare l’attenzione sul fascino e sull’intimità che si crea gustandosi un libro, che va guardato, letto, annusato , sfogliato, azioni che si accentuano ancora di più con il libro d'artista che si offre totalmente al fruitore che ne godrà pienamente stimolando vista, tatto e pensiero.
Pezzi unici e rappresentativi di un percorso poetico-creativo personale ed irripetibile, uno spaccato del proprio essere e della propria storia.
Poesia visiva fatta di strumenti e linguaggi diversi che vanno dal collage, alla pittura, dalla fotografia all’elaborazione digitale, il tutto assemblato e rilegato con abilità , creatività e mestiere, rendendo il libro d'artista un must nelle arti visive".
Questa sarà per i molti una delle poche occasioni di visionare e godere di questi splendidi oggetti d'arte ricordiamo che la mostra é Patrocinata dall'Assessorato alla Cultura di Marano e sarà visionabile dal 10 ottobre al 10 novembre presso Palazzo Merolla in Piazza Plebiscito a Marano di Napoli.

Des pièces uniques reflétant un emplacement personnel unique et poétique de création, un aperçu de son être et de son histoire.
Poésie visuelle faite d'outils et de langages différents, allant du collage, la peinture, la photographie au numérique, tous rassemblés et liés avec habileté, la créativité et artisanat, ce qui rend le livre d'artiste, un must dans le domaine des arts visuels. "
Ce sera l'un des rares pour les nombreuses occasions de voir et de profiter de ces belles œuvres d'art, nous nous souvenons que l'exposition est parrainée par l'Association culturelle de Marano et sera visible du 10 Octobre à 10 Novembre au Palais Square de Merolla plébiscite dans Marano Naples.

Africa Antiqua invites you on an adventure of a lifetime. You will be transported back into a time when most of Europe was covered in ice and our ancestors hunted now extinct animals, such as the woolly rhinoceros, mammoth, wolves, enormous cave bears and giant bison. This was a time when shamans enacted their mystical rites deep in the wombs of caves, surrounded by the shifting and shimmering shapes of painted animals in the flickering half-light of the fire.
Images of these large mammals representing Ice Age man’s early religious and ritual significance have painstakingly been produced by un-named master artists in a series of deep caves and caverns of Europe. This expedition will give you the opportunity to explore these world-renowned rock art sites, some of which date back a staggering 35 000 years, together with world-renowned Ice Age rock art expert who will be our expedition leader.
The adventure will begin in the rugged Basque country of north-western Spain and proceed slowly to the picturesque Dordogne valley of France, and finally end in the breath-taking beauty of the French Pyrenees. Our route will meander through quaint rural towns surrounded by a European rustic beauty, a morning at the market in the tiny, exquisitely preserved medieval city of Sarlat. Among the many wonders to be visited is the ancient medieval town and pilgrimage centre of Rocamadour, its picturesque houses and streets rising tier after tier, level after level clinging to the very heights of a rugged cliff.
On this tour just about every site, every visit, is a high-point, but for those with an intense appreciation of ancient art, you will be thrilled by our visits to world-renowned Palaeolithic caves such as that at Altamira, Cognac, and Lascaux 2, and a visit to the early pre-Neanderthal site of the Sierra de los Huesos, where archaic man lived, hunted and died, leaving behind their remains to tell us a little something about life in Spain some 800 000 years ago.
