The Huntsville Museum of Art along with the Huntsville Film Co-op welcome the most diverse and expressive short film festival in the United States. The Black Maria Film Festival is an international juried competition of independent film makers which features a variety of bold contemporary works. The festival will be held at the Huntsville Museum of Art Great Hall on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 pm. The event will cost $5 for Museum and Film Co-op members and $7 for non-members.These cutting edge works on film will be shown right here on HMA’s silver screen. The evening’s diverse selections will introduce you to new styles of filmmaking while also celebrating this year’s competition. Get ready for a fun evening with John Columbus, director of the film festival, on hand to take questions from the audience. Popcorn and soft drinks also on sale.
